Barbican Christmas Festival

The Raymond Gubbay Barbican Christmas Festival is back once again for the festive period 2008, meaning there are plenty of fantastic live acts for you to catch over the holidays. Running for a whole month and taking you into the cold and wintery days of January to start the New Year there is something for everyone to enjoy on the programme.

Full on festive music
With the likes of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Brenda Edwards, and many special gala nights, the Barbican Christmas Festival is certain to be a hit with all music fans. Whether you want Mozart by candlelight, an evening with two of the Strictly Come Dancing pros, or a simply the Boxing Day classics, you will be in for a very festive treat.

Classical hits for Christmas
Classical music makes a big return for the Barbican Christmas Festival for 2008 with the likes of the Bach Choir, a performance of Beethoven's Ninth and an opera gala night. Hayley Westenra will be sending you her Christmas wishes in a one off show, and the performance of Mozart by candlelight is sure to be one of the most atmospheric concerts to take place during the festival.
