Ripleys Believe It or Not London museum is full of some of the most peculiar wonders of the world, and is sure to be a massive hit with anyone who likes the odd and unusual. Crammed with over 500 exhibits from all over the globe, the Ripleys Believe it or Not London site is set to pull in just as many punters as the other locations like Texas and Bangalore.
Freakily unique
If you are the kind of person who loves to look at the picture of the potato in the paper that has the face of the Madonna, or read about the statue that weeps milk, then you will love the Ripleys Believe It or Not London museum. Full of the most unusual objects created by man and nature, there is something to excite, inspire, confuse and disgust even the most jaded of museum goers.
Proud history
Renowned for being the first to get their hands on the weird, strange and downright bizarre, Ripleys Believe It or Not cartoon was set up by Robert Ripley in 1918 before his first collection of oddities went on display in the Chicago World Fair of 1933. Since then Ripleys Believe It or Not museums have opened in 30 countries world wide, giving people the chance to explore the peculiar first hand at one of these major attractions.
Stand out exhibits
Some of the most unusual items on display at the Ripleys Believe it or Not London attraction are a Swarovski crystal covered Mini, worth £500,000, three shrunken human heads from Ecuador, a portrait of Princess Diana made from laundry lint, a copy of the Last Supper painted on a grain of rice, and a genuine piece of moon rock. And if that doesn't rock your world, check out the mummified man, the two headed calf, and the 3,000 pound piece of the Berlin Wall for starters.
Mirror maze
And as if that wasn't quite enough bizarre fun, there is always the chance to check out the mirror maze and see if you can make your way through the reflective passages without getting lost. Plus, unlike other museums Ripleys Believe it or Not London actively encouages photography (not in the mirror maze though, or you are likely to blind yourself with the flash) meaning you can snap away at objects like the Vampire Killing Kit and the Marilyn Monroe sweater to your heart's content.
Ripleys Believe it or Not London museum is open from 10am to midnight, with the last ticket sold at 10.30pm. The museum is open 365 days a year.
