As December inexorably ticks away before my very eyes I am disturbed that I appear to have spent all of my pay already (ahem), but I'm still excited about party season. Of course, the biggest party is saved for New Years Eve (with a plethora of Christmas parties thrown into the mix in the meantime).
What are you up to this NYE? If you’ve still not bought tickets then time is running out. I don’t feel I have any other choice then to check out what The End is offering… After all, this is the last ever New Years Eve at The End before they close their doors for good in January (see The End of The End). Tickets went on sale yesterday, and already the Early Bird tickets have almost gone – I don’t imagine it will be long before all of the tickets have sold out. With Laurent Garnier and Layo headlining, it’s hard to imagine tickets not going…
I’m pretty devastated about The End closing. It’s just another in a long list of London’s top clubs shutting their doors for good in recent times. Turnmills, The Cross, The Key, Canvas, Marquee Club – you name it, it’s probably closed. T Bar is closing its door for good on 14th December and we won’t even get a NYE send off from them like New Years Eve at The End. Oh and don’t forget Chinawhite (um, moving swiftly on…).

That said, there are some plus points to The End and AKA closing for good (clouds, silver linings) – they are going to have some mind blowing closing parties with headliners including Fatboy Slim and Grooverider. It.Will.Blow.Your.Mind. I’ll be bringing you details of their huge send offs soon – it will certainly help to keep the January blues at bay, and you can dance the turkey and mince pies off; now that’s what I call exercise.
New Years Eve at The End here I come! We’ll all miss you.
I can't believe all these clubs are closing, it's like they're taking a piece of me with them as I used to go to all of them during my uni days! I think I'm still in denial about Turnmills...
